What is Health & Wellness Coaching?

Sometimes self-care is doing the hard things, like making transformational health behavior changes to maximize our health, or to slow down the effects of a chronic health condition. It’s also making choices that move us in the direction of the life we want to be living and advocating for our own physical, mental, and emotional needs. The process of transformation and lifestyle habit change can be difficult, and having a structured partnership with a trained coach can help you develop and realize your optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery and accountability. 

Health & Wellness coaching empowers clients to make lasting behavior changes that are the foundation for living a life of optimal satisfaction and feeling energetic, vital, and fully alive in every sense of the word. Health is impacted by multiple interconnected dimensions. These dimensions include the choices one makes that affect their physical, mental, spiritual well-being and the medical care approaches utilized for their health. A Health Coach helps support their clients in discovering ways to successfully implement healthy lifestyle behaviors across these various dimensions into their unique lives.

Health & Wellness Microsession

In this single “micro-session”, we will move through an abbreviated health coaching process. We will clarify the change you envision for yourself, look at your health history, define your goals, and create a plan for change that sets you up for success. This session is the first step in your journey to a life where you feel energetic, vital, and truly alive. The structured partnership will provide you with the support and direction you need to begin to build the life of your dreams.

(This can also be a follow up session for a previous initial session.)

Availability for in person appointments are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:30 - 5:30 PM. In person appointments are available to book online.

Nikki Terry, BA, LMBT, CHWC

Nikki received her Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching from Duke Integrative Health in 2024. She loves partnering with women to help them look and feel amazing and live their life feeling truly ALIVE! She helps them beat weight loss resistance, brain fog, and fatigue, (to name a few) so they can be empowered to live the life they dream of. She specializes in

Nikki is passionate about wellness, self care and healthy living. In her health coaching work, she has come to understand that a healthy lifestyle and self care is the answer to stress and painful conditions, and is the key to preventing diseases that can keep us from enjoying our life as we age.

She moved to Morganton NC in 2011, and has lived in many places throughout the country. Of all the places she has lived, WNC feels most like home to her. She loves bringing healthy lifestyle services like massage, spa treatments, and wellness coaching to the community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, reading, yoga, kayaking, dancing, and all things that make her feel ALIVE!
